Bioscape Moss Treasure Chest 16 x 14cm

A moss-covered treasure chest hideout for nano tanks and terrariums. The Bioscape Moss Treasure Chest is a hand-finished, non-toxic resin ornament at 16 × 14 cm, styled with lush moss and faux gems and sized to sit comfortably in a nano aquarium or planted terrarium as a hideaway.

Key features
  • Hand-finished resin — cast and hand-painted, so texture and colour vary slightly piece to piece.
  • Moss-covered detailing — faux moss and gem accents built into the resin, not a separate applied layer that can peel off.
  • Hideaway shape — an open chest cavity fish and shrimp can use as a shelter.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums, nano tanks and planted or moss terrariums. Not sold or finished as a reptile climbing or basking feature — it's an aquatic ornament.

Care and maintenance

Rinse thoroughly under running water before adding it to the tank to clear any manufacturing dust or loose resin particles. No soaking or curing is required — it's inert and won't affect pH or water chemistry.

Warranty and delivery

Covered against manufacturing defects under Bioscape's warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Common questions

Will it affect my water chemistry?

No — it's a non-toxic, inert resin that doesn't alter pH or hardness.

Does it float or sink?

It sinks and sits in place on the substrate; no gluing or weighting down is needed for normal use.

Is it reef safe?

Bioscape markets it as safe for both freshwater and marine setups, but as with any ornament in a sensitive reef system, rinse it well and introduce it gradually if you're being cautious.
