The replacement pump for the Bioscape Nano 40 litre aquarium. The Bioscape Nano Replacement Pump 40ltr (Bioscape item BIS135A) is the circulation pump for the Bioscape Nano Aquarium Unit 40ltr (item BIS135, also sold as the Tropic Nano 40L). This is the pump that pushes water through the tank's built-in 3-stage filter (mechanical, chemical and biological filtration) and back into the aquarium.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable as a replacement pump for the Bioscape Nano 40 litre aquarium. Bioscape lists a separate replacement pump for each Nano tank size, so check the size of your tank before ordering. The 61 litre tank uses a different pump.
Care
If flow drops, unplug the pump and clean the impeller (the small spinning part that moves the water) and its housing before deciding the pump has failed. Build-up there often slows a pump that is otherwise working.
