Bioscape Replacement Pump and Impeller for AC16 Betta Aquarium
A complete pump and impeller replacement for the built-in filter in the Bioscape Tropic Betta Desktop Aquarium 10L. The AC16 runs its filtration, heater and lighting as one sealed unit, and this is the pump and impeller assembly that drives water through its cartridge filter.
Key features
- Pump and impeller together – sold as one assembly rather than two separate parts, matching how the AC16's filter unit is built.
- Direct fit – replaces the factory pump in the AC16's built-in filtration housing.
- Restores circulation – fixes a filter that has gone quiet or stopped moving water through the cartridge.

| AC16 Tropic Betta Desktop Aquarium | 10 L | Pump and impeller assembly |
Bioscape doesn't publish a wattage figure for this pump, so it isn't stated here – the AC16 runs its filter, nano heater and LED light from a single low-voltage power adapter.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for the AC16 10L Betta Desktop Aquarium only. Not suitable for the Nano 24L, 40L or 61L range, which uses a different pump and filter housing.
Care and maintenance
Before ordering a replacement, pull the impeller and clean the well – a pump that's gone quiet is very often jammed with biofilm rather than actually failed, and a rinse under running water is enough to free it. Where the pump genuinely won't turn, or is rattling or grinding, this assembly is the fix.
Warranty and delivery
Covered against manufacturing defects under Bioscape's warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships by standard parcel post.
Common questions
Can I buy just the impeller on its own?
Not for the AC16 – Bioscape supplies this as a combined pump and impeller assembly.
Will this fit the Nano 24L tank instead?
No. The AC16 Betta aquarium and the Nano range use different pump and filter housings, so their spare parts aren't interchangeable.
My filter has gone quiet – do I need this part?
Check first. A clogged impeller well is the most common cause of a quiet or stalled filter and just needs cleaning; a pump that won't turn at all, or is rattling, is the case this part fixes.
