Rinse thoroughly under running water before adding it to the tank to remove manufacturing dust and any loose resin or paint particles. No soaking or curing period is required.

Will the paint finish hold up underwater long-term?

It's hand-painted onto the resin as a finished piece rather than a surface coating applied after casting, and Bioscape sells it for permanent aquarium use. As with any painted ornament, avoid abrasive cleaning directly on the painted detail.

Is it reef safe?

Bioscape stocks it for both freshwater and marine setups. Rinse it well and introduce it gradually into an established reef tank if you're being cautious.

Can fish and shrimp actually get inside it?

Yes – the figure has hollow sections through the body and limbs that work as compact hiding spots, not just a solid statue shape.

Will it affect my water chemistry?

No – it's a non-toxic, inert resin that doesn't alter pH or hardness.
