Bioscape Space Craft Unit 19 x 11.5cm
A weathered, moss-covered crashed spacecraft that doubles as fish shelter. The Bioscape Space Craft Unit is a hand-finished, non-toxic resin ornament at 19 × 11.5 cm, styled as a sunken starship with an aged, moss-covered finish and open hull sections fish and shrimp can use as a hideaway.
Key features
- Weathered, moss-covered finish – painted to look aged and half-buried rather than a bright, unweathered prop.
- Hand-finished resin – cast and hand-painted, so texture and colour vary slightly piece to piece.
- Hull shelter spaces – openings in the craft give smaller fish and shrimp somewhere to retreat.
- Sci-fi focal point – sized to anchor a themed aquascape without overwhelming a standard display tank.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums, sci-fi or wreck-themed aquascapes, and as a shelter feature for shy fish and shrimp. Not designed as a reptile or amphibian enclosure feature – it's an aquatic ornament only.
Care and maintenance
Rinse thoroughly with water before adding it to the tank; avoid soap or detergent, which can leave a residue in the resin's textured, moss-effect surface. No soaking or curing is required – it's inert and won't affect pH or water chemistry.
Warranty and delivery
Covered against manufacturing defects under Bioscape's warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Common questions
Will it affect my water chemistry?
No – it's a non-toxic, inert resin that doesn't alter pH or hardness.
Can fish and shrimp shelter inside it?
Yes – the hull has open sections designed as hiding spaces for smaller tank inhabitants.
Is it reef safe?
Bioscape markets it as safe for both freshwater and marine setups, but as with any ornament in a sensitive reef system, rinse it well and introduce it gradually if you're being cautious.
Will the moss detailing wash off?
No – the weathered, moss-like finish is part of the resin casting and paintwork, not a separate applied layer that can peel away.
