Red Sea Max Nano Peninsula G2 - excluding cabinet

Three-sided reef viewing with the filtration already built in. The Red Sea MAX Nano Peninsula G2 is an 87 L display (100 L total system volume) reef aquarium built for peninsula, room-divider placement — open to viewing from three sides, with a return pump, protein skimmer, ReefLED G2 60 light and auto top-off built into the rear chamber. This listing is the tank and equipment only; the matching cabinet is sold separately in black or white.

Key features
  • Peninsula format — filtration lives in a rear chamber at one end, so the other three sides stay open for viewing from a room-divider or island position.
  • 8 mm ultra-clear rimless glass — a clean glass line with no visible frame, front-to-back and side-to-side.
  • 950 L/h return pump — circulates the full 100 L system volume roughly nine and a half times an hour.
  • Integrated MAX NANO protein skimmer — rated to process the entire system volume approximately three times an hour.
  • ReefLED G2 60 — app-controlled LED lighting (Red Sea ReefBeat) over the display.
  • Auto top-off reservoir — a 1.5 L freshwater store good for roughly two to three days of evaporation before refilling.
  • 225-micron filter sock, media chamber and bubble trap — mechanical and chemical filtration stages built into the rear chamber.

What's included / Not included

Included:

  • Peninsula display tank with integrated rear filtration chamber
  • 950 L/h return pump
  • Integrated protein skimmer
  • ReefLED G2 60 light with mounting arm
  • 225-micron filter sock, media chamber and bubble trap
  • 1.5 L auto top-off reservoir

Not included:

  • Cabinet or stand (sold separately, black or white)
  • Heater
  • ReefATO+ enhanced auto top-off and leak detection unit
  • NanoMat advanced mechanical filter
  • Salt, substrate, rock and livestock
Performance

The 950 L/h return pump turns the 100 L system volume over roughly nine and a half times an hour — plenty of circulation for a mixed-reef bioload in a tank this size. The built-in skimmer is rated to process the full system volume around three times an hour, a light-to-medium bioload figure; heavily stocked peninsulas may want to watch nutrient export and add media rather than expect the skimmer alone to carry a fish-heavy load.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
  • Suitable for a mixed reef or FOWLR peninsula display where three-sided viewing matters more than sheer volume.
  • Suitable for a first sump-less reef setup — the filtration is self-contained, so no external plumbing is needed.
  • Not suitable as a freestanding display without the matching cabinet — the rear chamber and plumbing are designed around it.
  • Not a heated system out of the box — a separate heater sized for 100 L is required before stocking.
Care and maintenance

Rinse or replace the 225-micron filter sock regularly to keep flow through the mechanical stage. Change carbon and other chemical media on a cycle suited to your bioload. Top up the ATO reservoir every two to three days unless you've added the ReefATO+ upgrade.

Safety

Mains-powered — supplied for the Australian 240 V / 50 Hz supply. Keep the return pump and skimmer pump on a drip loop, and run aquarium electrics from a switched, RCD-protected outlet.

Goes well with
  • Red Sea MAX Nano Peninsula Cabinet (black or white) — the matching stand this system is designed to sit on.
  • A heater sized for 100 L, since one isn't included.
  • Red Sea ReefATO+ — upgrades the basic reservoir to a sensor-monitored top-off with leak detection.
  • Red Sea NanoMat — swaps the filter sock for a self-advancing mechanical roll for less frequent maintenance.
Warranty and delivery

Registering your system with Red Sea within their stated window extends cover on the glass aquarium and cabinet to 5 years in Australia (original purchaser only, non-transferable) — see redseafish.com/register. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. As a large glass item, freight is oversize — contact us to confirm delivery options for your address before ordering.

Common questions

Does this include the cabinet?

No. This listing is the tank and its built-in equipment only. The matching MAX Nano Peninsula cabinet is sold separately in black or white.

Do I need to buy a heater separately?

Yes. The system doesn't include a heater — choose one rated for a 100 L system and suited to your room's ambient temperature.

How often do I need to top up the water?

The built-in 1.5 L reservoir typically needs refilling every two to three days depending on evaporation in your room. The optional ReefATO+ automates this with a sensor.

Can I run this without the matching cabinet?

It's designed around the cabinet's dimensions and the rear chamber's plumbing runs through it, so we recommend the matching stand rather than improvising your own support.

What's the difference between this and the older MAX Nano Peninsula?

This is the current G2 generation, with the ReefLED G2 60 fixture and ReefBeat app control. We don't carry the earlier generation, so check spares compatibility against your specific unit if you already own one.
