Red Sea Reef Care Potassium+ Trace Colours B

• Potassium supplement for the red colours in corals, as Red Sea describes it.
• Dosed to demand. Red Sea's method is to test potassium and add enough to reach the right level, rather than dosing blind.

Suitable for reef aquariums with stony or soft corals where you can test potassium. Not suitable for fish-only tanks, as it is made for coral colour, or for anyone without a potassium test kit.

Test potassium after first use and after water changes, then dose to bring it back to the right level; the bottle label gives the strength per ml. Do not raise potassium by more than 10 ppm (parts per million) a day; spread a larger correction over several days. Add it to the sump (the filter tank under the aquarium), or slowly into an area of strong water flow if you have no sump. Check salinity before testing, then test weekly. Red Sea says a soft coral tank needs only Trace Colours A and B, dosed weekly.

Red Sea warns against dosing past safe levels. If you overdose, Red Sea's advice is to change half the water and halve the dose from then on. Never mix Trace Colours A, B, C or D together in one container: the solutions react with each other at bottle strength, so add each to the tank separately. Keep the bottle closed and out of reach of children and pets.
