It is the current-generation foundation tank in Red Sea's Reefer range, intended as an open platform for reefkeepers to fit their own preferred equipment.

The Reefer MAX 750 is the same footprint but sold as a bundled, plug-and-play package – Red Sea's own materials describe the MAX range as including ReefLED lighting, a ReefRun DC return pump, a protein skimmer, ReefATO+ and, on the MAX platform, wave control, so essential equipment comes pre-matched to the tank. Choose the G2+ (this listing) if you want to select your own lighting, skimmer and pump; choose the MAX if you'd rather buy one bundle with that equipment already specified and included.

Does the Reefer G2+ 750 come with lighting?

What return pump do I need?

Red Sea specifies either two ReefRun 5500 pumps or one ReefRun 7000 pump for this model. The return pump is not included and is purchased separately.

Is a top-off reservoir included?

The ReefATO+ auto top-off controller unit is included, but the water reservoir it draws from is not – you'll need to supply your own container for top-off water.

How much does it weigh once filled?

What's the difference between this and the Reefer MAX 750?

This G2+ listing is the tank, cabinet, sump, plumbing and ATO controller only. The Reefer MAX 750 is the same size but sold with lighting, a return pump and a protein skimmer already included as a bundle.

Does the cabinet come assembled?

The matching black cabinet is supplied as a self-assembly unit, per Red Sea's own product documentation.
