"Deluxe" describes the lighting package, not a fully equipped reef system. This tier does not include a return pump, a protein skimmer, a ReefMat roller filter unit, or any circulation pumps – those are bundled only in Red Sea's "MAX" tier of the same platform, which adds a ReefRun G2 8000 return pump, two ReefWave 45 gyre powerheads, a Reefer DC 900 protein skimmer and a ReefMat 1200 roller filter. Also not included on any tier: heater, chiller, RO/DI unit, test kit, salt, live rock, sand or livestock.

Red Sea has not published an official empty or filled weight figure for the S-700 G3. At roughly 700 L filled, this is a genuinely heavy, concentrated floor load – have a builder or structural engineer confirm your floor before installing it, particularly on an upper storey or over a suspended timber floor.

If you already have a return pump and skimmer you plan to reuse from an existing system, Deluxe is the tier that avoids paying for equipment you don't need. If you're starting from nothing, the MAX package is the tier that arrives genuinely ready to run.

• Suitable for: reef and FOWLR keepers wanting a large, modern rimless platform with lighting sorted, who are sourcing or reusing their own return pump and protein skimmer.
• Not suitable for: a first tank, or anyone wanting a single-purchase, plug-in-and-go system – for that, the MAX tier or a smaller starter system is the better fit. Also not suitable for a floor that hasn't been checked for the load of a ~700 L filled system.

The eurobraced top rim and ReefGate valve are designed to be maintenance-light, but downpipes and overflow plumbing still collect biofilm over time and are worth checking during major water changes. The ReefATO+ sensor and reservoir need periodic topping up and cleaning; the skimmer chamber and sump compartments should be rinsed on the same schedule as your filter media.

Red Sea's standard warranty is 3 years from purchase, extendable to 5 years on the glass aquarium and cabinet when you register the product within 90 days – Australia is an eligible country for the extension, and the warranty is non-transferable to the original purchaser. This is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Given the size and weight of a 700 L system, expect oversized freight handling; contact us before ordering if you need a lift-gate or two-person delivery arranged.

Does the Deluxe package include a return pump or skimmer?

No. Deluxe adds three ReefLED G2 170 lights to the base tank, cabinet and sump. A return pump and protein skimmer are only bundled in the separate MAX package.

What's the difference between G2 and G3?

G3 uses a redesigned internal flow system and ReefGate valve for meaningfully more circulation at similar power draw, adds euro-bracing on this size, and extends the standard warranty path to 5 years with registration.

How heavy is this system filled?

Red Sea has not published a weight figure for this model. At around 700 L total volume, plan for well over half a tonne once water, sand and rock are added, and have your floor checked before installation.

Can I add a skimmer and pump later rather than at purchase?

Yes – the sump's skimmer chamber and plumbing are built to accept them, so there's no rework needed if you buy the tank now and the equipment separately.

Does the cabinet come assembled?
