Red Sea has not published an empty or filled weight for this model. At 850 L total volume the water alone weighs roughly 850 kg before glass, cabinet, rock and sand are added – have the floor checked before siting it anywhere other than a slab or a reinforced ground floor.

Check the listing title carefully: "Complete System" in this product's name refers to the tank, cabinet, sump and plumbing being complete as a package, not to the equipment stack. It is not the same purchase as a MAX listing.

Suited to an experienced reefer building a large SPS or mixed reef who already has, or wants to independently choose, their lighting, return pump and skimmer. Not the right choice if you want to unbox and plumb equipment without researching a separate pump, skimmer and light – for that, ask us about the MAX configuration of this model.

The sump's mechanical filtration compartment uses micron filter bags and cups rather than a filter roller – plan on manual bag changes unless you fit a ReefMat separately. Keep the ReefATO+ reservoir topped up with RO/DI water and its sensor clean.

The ReefATO+ unit is mains-powered – run it, and any equipment you add, through an RCD-protected circuit with drip loops on every cable entering the cabinet. Check quick-connect plumbing fittings are correctly seated and hand-tightened, never with tools, before filling.

Covered by Red Sea's manufacturer warranty: 3 years standard, extendable to 5 years at no extra cost by registering the tank with Red Sea online, in addition to your consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law. This is an oversized, heavy item – expect a two-person delivery and confirm doorway and stair clearance before ordering.

Does this come with a return pump, skimmer or lights?

No. This base configuration includes the tank, cabinet, sump, plumbing and ReefATO+ auto top-off only. Return pump, skimmer and lighting are bought separately, or ask us about the Deluxe or MAX configuration of this model if you'd rather they were included.

What's the difference between G2+ and the newer G3?

G2+ added Red Sea's ReefATO+ auto top-off as standard equipment over the earlier plain G2. Red Sea's current REEFER-S line has since moved to G3, which uses a redesigned plumbing layout Red Sea states improves circulation and reduces noise. We haven't been able to confirm whether G2+ and G3 share spare parts – check with us before assuming a G3 spare fits a G2+ tank.

How much does this weigh filled?

Red Sea does not publish a filled weight for this model. Water alone accounts for roughly 850 kg at full volume; have the floor checked by a builder or engineer if it's going anywhere other than a slab or reinforced ground floor.

Is assembly difficult?

The plumbing is pre-fitted and uses quick-connect fittings rather than solvent-welded joints, but the cabinet ships flat-packed with its own assembly manual. Given the size and weight of an 850 L system, we'd recommend having a second person on hand for the cabinet build and the tank placement.

Can I add Red Sea's own lighting and pumps later?

Yes – the tank and cabinet are built to take Red Sea's ReefLED, ReefWave and ReefRun range, along with most third-party equipment sized for a rimless 180 cm display.
