Seiryu Stone Per KG

• Grey stone with natural grooves and ridges, from light to darker grey.

• Natural product: every piece is different.

• Type: Seiryu stone, natural aquascaping rock
• Composition: mainly limestone
• Effect on water: can raise KH (carbonate hardness), GH (general hardness) and pH
• Sold: per kilogram, mixed natural pieces
• Store SKU: BA9293

Suitable for planted aquariums, terrariums, paludariums (part water, part land set-ups) and reptile and frog enclosures. Because it raises hardness and pH, it suits hard water set-ups and Neocaridina shrimp (such as cherry shrimp) better than soft water species such as Caridina shrimp (such as crystal red shrimp). In a soft water tank, plan for the rise, for example with a buffering aquasoil and regular water changes.

Scrub and rinse each piece thoroughly before use; washing helps keep the effect on pH to a minimum. If your tank relies on soft water, soak a piece in a bucket of your tank water for a few days and test KH, GH and pH before and after, so you know what to expect. Stack larger pieces directly on the tank base so they cannot slip if the substrate shifts.
