Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable as the daytime heat source for basking reptiles in mid to large enclosures, switched off at night. Not a UVB source; sun-basking reptiles still need a UVB tube or bulb alongside it. 100 W can be too much heat for a small enclosure, where a lower wattage lamp suits better.
Safety
Runs hot. Use a fixture with a ceramic socket rated for 100 W, keep the bulb out of the animal's reach with a guard, and run it through a thermostat with a thermometer at the basking spot.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Zoo Med's 3 month manufacturer warranty against defects, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships by standard parcel post.
