Will it fit my enclosure?
Zoo Med sizes this dome for nano and small terrariums up to around 10 US gallons (approx. 37 litres). It sits above an open-top or mesh-lid enclosure rather than inside it, so check lid opening and clearance above the tank before buying.
What is included / in the box
The dual-dome housing with two ceramic sockets. No bulbs and no mounting stand are included.
Not included
Heat and UVB bulbs, sold separately and matched to the socket rating, plus a mounting or lamp stand if you need to suspend the fixture above an open-top enclosure.
Suitable for / not suitable for
Suitable for
Nano and small terrariums, around 10 US gallons (approx. 37 L) or smaller, housing small geckos, hatchling reptiles, amphibians, tarantulas, insects and other invertebrates that need heat, UVB, or general lighting.
Not suitable for
Aquariums or wet and humid direct-splash setups, larger enclosures needing more than 80 W combined, or non-Zoo Med Nano bulbs that could exceed the socket rating.
Care and maintenance
Let the dome cool fully before handling it or changing a bulb, and wipe the exterior with a dry cloth only. There are no user-serviceable parts inside, so if the cord or plug is damaged, stop using the fixture rather than attempting a repair.
Safety
This is a mains-powered fixture with ceramic sockets that get hot in use. Keep it clear of bedding, blankets, rugs, foliage or other flammable material, and position it outside the terrarium so it cannot be reached by the animal or by children. Zoo Med states the fixture is for indoor use only.
Goes well with
Zoo Med Nano-range bulbs sized for these ceramic sockets, such as the ReptiSun Nano UVB Bulb, the Nano Basking Spot Lamp, or the Nano Halogen Heat Lamp, plus a lamp stand if you need to suspend the fixture above an open-top enclosure.
Warranty and delivery
Zoo Med backs this fixture with a 1-year warranty.
