API Goldfish Success Pack 30ml on Card 2pk
Two goldfish tank essentials in one pack, sized for getting started. The API Goldfish Care Pack bundles a 1.25 oz (approximately 30 mL) bottle of API Goldfish Protect water conditioner with a 1.25 oz (approximately 30 mL) bottle of API Goldfish Aquarium Cleaner, a waste-digesting treatment formulated for the heavy bioload goldfish produce. It suits a new goldfish bowl or tank, or as a compact way to try both products before buying full-size bottles.
Key features
- Two products, one pack – a tap water conditioner and a waste-digesting treatment, so you are not buying two full-size bottles to trial both.
- Sized for goldfish bioload – goldfish produce more ammonia-forming waste than most community fish of the same size, and both products in this pack are formulated with that in mind.
- Goldfish Protect neutralises tap water chemicals – including chlorine, chloramine and heavy metals, and is stated by API to help protect against ammonia.
- Goldfish Aquarium Cleaner digests waste – a bacterial treatment API states helps break down fish waste and keep gravel cleaner between full cleans.
- Compact 1.25 oz bottles – easy to keep on hand for weekly water changes without committing to a full-size bottle of each.

What's included / what you'll still need
Included:
- 1 bottle API Goldfish Protect (water conditioner)
- 1 bottle API Goldfish Aquarium Cleaner (waste-digesting treatment)
Not included:
- A test kit – API Freshwater Master Multi Test Kit 5 in 1 is the companion product for confirming whether the tank actually needs treating
- An aquarium, filter or heater
- Fish food
Dosage and directions
Both bottles carry their own printed dose rate, and independent sources we checked did not agree closely enough on the exact figure for us to reprint one with confidence – so rather than risk a wrong number, follow the dose printed on your bottle. As a general pattern: Goldfish Protect is dosed at every water change, and Goldfish Aquarium Cleaner is used periodically between changes to keep digesting waste, rather than applied once and finished.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for:
- New goldfish bowls and tanks needing conditioned water from day one
- Established goldfish tanks between full gravel cleans
- Trying both products before committing to full-size bottles
Not suitable for:
- Marine or reef tanks – this pack is formulated for freshwater
- Replacing regular water changes – Goldfish Aquarium Cleaner supplements gravel cleaning, it does not remove the need for it
Safety and handling
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Follow the dose printed on each bottle – do not combine or exceed it.
- Store both bottles capped, away from direct sunlight.
Goes well with
- API Freshwater Master Multi Test Kit 5 in 1 – confirms whether ammonia or nitrite is actually the problem before you treat for it.
- API Aquarium Salt – API's own label lists salt as a further support during goldfish tank setup or disease treatment.
- API Quick Start – live nitrifying bacteria for a new or recently disturbed goldfish tank.

Common questions
What's actually in the API Goldfish Care Pack?
One 1.25 oz (approximately 30 mL) bottle of API Goldfish Protect water conditioner and one 1.25 oz (approximately 30 mL) bottle of API Goldfish Aquarium Cleaner, a waste-digesting treatment – two separate products sold together in one pack.
Is this a one-off treatment or do I keep using it?
Both bottles are multi-dose. Goldfish Protect is used at every water change and Goldfish Aquarium Cleaner is used periodically to keep digesting fish waste, not applied once and finished.
Will this work in a marine tank?
No. Both products in this pack are formulated for freshwater goldfish tanks.
Do I still need to clean the gravel if I use Goldfish Aquarium Cleaner?
Yes. API positions Goldfish Aquarium Cleaner as a supplement that helps digest waste between cleans, not a replacement for gravel cleaning and water changes.
Can I use just one of the two bottles?
Yes, they are independent products. Conditioning tap water and digesting gravel waste address different problems, so most goldfish keepers use both, but there is no requirement to use them together.
