Aqua Medic pH Monitor
Know your pH before it becomes a problem, and let the monitor step in if it does. The Aqua Medic pH Monitor reads pH continuously across the full 0-14 scale on a bright 0.5" LED display, and carries its own 5 A relay so it can also switch equipment automatically once pH crosses a set point - useful as an independent safety cut-out even on a tank where a separate controller is already running the day-to-day dosing. It runs on any 100-240 V mains supply, so it is ready to go straight out of the box in Australia.
Key features
- Continuous pH display - 0.5" LED, 3½ digits, reading to 0.01 pH resolution.
- ±0.01 pH accuracy after calibration, so small drifts show up before they become a problem.
- 5 A relay, pH 3.5-10.5 control range - can switch a pump, solenoid or alarm at a set point, not just display a number.
- ±0.05 pH control accuracy, digitally adjustable set point.
- Universal power input - 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz, so it runs on Australian mains without a transformer.

Which Aqua Medic pH controller do I need?
If you mainly need to know your pH and want a relay ready as a safety backstop, the pH Monitor's 5 A output is enough for a pump, solenoid or alarm. If you are driving a calcium reactor's CO2 solenoid as the primary way you manage pH, the Aqua Medic pH Computer Set's 500 W switched socket is built for that heavier, continuous-duty role.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for: continuous pH monitoring plus light relay control on fresh or marine tanks.
Not suitable for: switching loads over its 5 A rated capacity directly without a heavier relay or contactor in between.
Safety
Mount the display away from splash zones and run it through a residual current device (RCD), as with any mains-powered aquarium equipment. The included adapter accepts 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz, so no separate transformer is needed on Australian 230-240 V supply.
Care and maintenance
Recalibrate the electrode roughly every four weeks with Aqua Medic pH 7 and pH 9 calibration fluid. The probe's glass membrane is a wear item - Aqua Medic's standard warranty on pH and mV electrodes is six months, shorter than the monitor unit itself.
Goes well with
- Aqua Medic pH 7 Test Fluid 60ml
- Aqua Medic pH 9 Test Fluid 60ml
- Aqua Medic Refillable Plastic pH Probe 120mm - a spare electrode
Warranty and delivery
Covered by the consumer guarantees available under Australian Consumer Law in addition to any manufacturer terms. As above, the electrode is a shorter-life wear item than the monitor unit.
Common questions
Does the pH Monitor only display pH, or can it control equipment too?
Both - alongside the display, it carries a 5 A relay with a digitally adjustable pH 3.5-10.5 control range, so it can switch a pump, solenoid or alarm at your set point.
Will it run on Australian power without a transformer?
Yes - the included adapter accepts 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz.
Is this suitable for a marine tank?
Yes, it reads and controls across the full pH 0-14 scale and is suited to both freshwater and marine use.
How accurate is it?
±0.01 pH after calibration for the display, and ±0.05 pH for the relay's control point.
