Aqua Medic pH Probe - Refillable L120mm - Plastic

A pH probe wears out long before the controller it is plugged into does. This is Aqua Medic's refillable plastic-bodied pH probe, roughly 120 mm long with a BNC connector, built as a direct replacement or spare for the electrode that ships with the Aqua Medic pH Monitor and pH Computer Set. Being refillable means you top up the internal electrolyte rather than replacing the whole probe every time performance starts to drift.

Key features
  • Refillable design - top up the internal electrolyte reservoir instead of buying a new probe at the first sign of drift.
  • BNC connector - plugs straight into Aqua Medic's pH Monitor, pH Computer Set, and most other BNC-standard pH meters and controllers.
  • Plastic shaft body - more impact-resistant in day-to-day handling than a glass-bodied probe.
  • Approx. 120 mm probe length - sized to reach through most sump baffles and calcium reactor chambers.

Fits my monitor or controller?

Yes, if it takes a BNC-connector pH probe - that includes Aqua Medic's own pH Monitor and pH Computer Set, and most third-party controllers built to the same standard connector.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for: freshwater and marine pH measurement on any Aqua Medic or compatible BNC controller.

Not suitable for: use without periodic calibration - a probe straight out of the box still needs to be calibrated against pH 7 and pH 9 fluid before its readings can be trusted.

Care and maintenance

Top up the electrolyte reservoir when the fluid level runs low rather than waiting for the probe to fail outright, and calibrate against fresh pH 7 and pH 9 fluid roughly every four weeks. The glass sensing membrane at the tip is a wear item - Aqua Medic's electrode warranty is six months, shorter than for its electronics, because the membrane ages with use regardless of how well it is cared for.

Warranty and delivery

Covered by Aqua Medic's standard six-month electrode warranty, in addition to the consumer guarantees available under Australian Consumer Law.

Common questions

Will this fit my Aqua Medic pH Monitor or pH Computer Set?

Yes - both use a BNC-connector probe, which is what this is.

Do I need to calibrate a new probe before using it?

Yes, always calibrate against fresh pH 7 and pH 9 fluid before relying on any new or replacement probe.

Why is the warranty only six months?

The glass sensing membrane ages with normal use, so Aqua Medic warrants it as a wear item rather than under the same terms as its electronic units.
