Aqua Medic Reducing T Piece - 4/6mm
Taps a 4/6 mm control line off a larger hose run without cutting into new tubing. The Aqua Medic Reducing T-Piece is a barbed PVC fitting that splits a smaller branch line off a main reactor, filter or dosing hose run. It's the fitting used to bring a CO2 line into a reactor, or a dosing line into a return, while keeping the main flow path in one continuous hose size.
Key features
- Barbed push-fit connections — grips standard flexible aquarium hose without extra clamps in most low-pressure runs.
- PVC construction — resists the salt creep and constant wetting typical of reactor and dosing plumbing.
- Fixed 4/6 mm branch outlet — matches Aqua Medic's dosing pump and CO2 line tubing size.
- Three main-line sizes — 12/16 mm, 9/12 mm or 16/22 mm, so it fits directly into the hose size already running on your reactor, filter or return line.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for: low-pressure gravity and pump-fed hose runs on reactors, canister filters, dosing systems and CO2 lines.
- Not suitable for: high-pressure mains water plumbing, or as a structural joint under load — it's a hose barb fitting, not a threaded pressure fitting.

Common questions
Does the branch side always come out at 4/6 mm?
Yes — on all three variants the branch outlet is fixed at 4/6 mm. Only the main line size changes between variants.
Will it fit my existing hose without extra tools?
The barbed ends are a push fit onto standard flexible aquarium hose of the matching size. A hose clamp is recommended on any run under continuous pump pressure.
Can I use it to add a dosing line into a sump return?
Yes, this is one of its common uses — select the main line variant matching your return hose, and run the dosing tube off the 4/6 mm branch.
