Aqua Medic Round Grate

• Three sizes – 40mm, 50mm and 63mm, to suit different overflow and drain pipe diameters.
• Black or clear – choose black to blend into dark sump plumbing, or clear to stay visually unobtrusive against light backgrounds.
• Open grate design – passes water freely while blocking larger fish, snails and debris from entering the drain.

The 40mm, 50mm and 63mm sizing matches Aqua Medic's own PVC pipe and fitting range – measure your overflow or drain pipe's outside diameter and match it to the closest size before ordering.

• Suitable for: covering overflow boxes, drain pipes and skimmer intakes to keep livestock and debris out while maintaining flow.
• Not suitable for: filtering fine particulate – this is a coarse debris and livestock guard, not a mechanical filter.

Covered by the manufacturer's warranty in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Standard delivery – a small, lightweight fitting.

Will this stop small fry or shrimp getting through?

It's designed to stop larger fish, snails and debris – very small fry or shrimplets may still be able to pass through the grate openings.

How is it fitted?

It fits over the end of a pipe or drain opening matching its diameter; check your plumbing's outside diameter against the size range before ordering.

Does colour affect performance?

No – black and clear perform identically. The choice is purely about how visible you want the grate to be against your plumbing.
