These are Arcadia's own measured figures from their UV Index charts, not interpolated or borrowed from another tube. Distance is measured from the tube in open air, through the fixture's own reflector.

Arcadia doesn't publish a Desert 12% figure at 300 mm on its dedicated lamp page, so we've left that cell blank rather than guess. Dragon 14% isn't rated at 300 mm at all - Arcadia's own guidance is not to mount it that close.
Arcadia does not publish a separate figure for UV-B measured through flyscreen mesh on this range. As a general rule any mesh between the tube and the animal reduces UV-B reaching it, so if you're measuring through a screened enclosure, check the actual reading at the basking spot with a UV Index meter rather than relying on the open-air table above.

Will it fit my enclosure?
At 1170 mm the fixture suits enclosures from around 120 cm up to 150 cm long. For a shorter 60 cm enclosure, the Arcadia Pro T5 Kit 60cm 24W is the better fit. Fixtures can be linked end to end - up to 10 in a run - for anything longer than one bar covers.
Care and maintenance
Replace the UV-B tube every 12 months even if it still lights up - UV-B output falls well before visible light does, and a tube that looks fine can be delivering little real UV-B. The reflector is removable for cleaning; a dusty or grimy reflector cuts the UV reaching the enclosure just as effectively as an old tube.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for: reptiles and amphibians needing measured UV-B at Ferguson zones 1 through 4, matched to the tube you choose at checkout.
Not suitable for: mounting inside the enclosure where an animal can contact the tube directly, or running without checking your actual UVI at the basking spot with a meter - published distance figures are a starting point, not a substitute for measuring your own setup.

How often do I replace the tube?
