Bioscape Aquariums Nest of 3 Crystal Glass River Series Aquariums 60cm 90cm 120cm

Three crystal-glass aquariums in one order — 60cm, 90cm and 120cm, nested together for delivery. This Bioscape River Series set pairs a compact 60cm tank with a mid-size 90cm and a full-length 120cm, each built from low-iron "crystal" glass for extra clarity. All three arrive as bare glass tanks only — there is no light, filter, heater, lid or stand included with any size, so budget for those separately before you start stocking.

Key features
  • Three tank sizes in one purchase — 60cm, 90cm and 120cm, useful for a fish room, a breeding setup, or furnishing more than one room at once.
  • Low-iron crystal glass — clearer, less green-tinted viewing than standard float glass, most noticeable on the larger 90cm and 120cm panels.
  • Reinforced base glass — base panels are thicker than the side panels on every size in this set, which is where the water's weight bears down hardest.
  • Open-top, bare glass build — no lid, light, filter, heater or stand is fitted, so the tank is ready for whatever canopy, lighting and filtration setup you're planning.
Specifications
Size External dimensions (L×D×H) Base glass Side glass Approx. internal capacity*
60cm 60 × 24 × 26 cm 6 mm 5 mm ~34 L
90cm 90 × 27 × 28 cm 8 mm 5 mm ~63 L
120cm 120 × 30 × 30 cm 8 mm 6 mm ~100 L

*Capacity is a brim-full internal volume calculated from the external dimensions and glass thickness above — Bioscape does not publish a rated litre capacity for this set. Usable water volume will be somewhat less once substrate, hardscape and equipment are in the tank, and none of these three sizes reaches the 200 L threshold where floor loading becomes a structural concern.

What's included / Not included

Each of the three tanks in this set is a bare glass aquarium only. Nothing else is fitted or supplied.

  • Included: one 60cm tank, one 90cm tank, one 120cm tank — glass only, silicone-sealed, open top.
  • Not included: lid or hood, light, filter, heater, substrate, background, or a stand or cabinet for any of the three tanks. You'll need to source these separately for each size before it's ready to stock.
Will it fit my space?

Check external length against your available bench, shelf or stand run before ordering — 60cm, 90cm and 120cm are the full outer dimensions, not the glass footprint alone. If you're planning to run all three at once, that's 2.7 m of bench length end to end, plus clearance for hoods, filters and cabling behind each tank.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
  • Suitable for: freshwater or marine setups once fitted with your own filtration, heating and lighting; hobbyists wanting to set up multiple tanks in one order; breeders or fish rooms needing a size range.
  • Not suitable for: anyone wanting a ready-to-run kit — this set is glass only, so it is not a plug-and-play system. It's also not pre-drilled, so it isn't set up for a sump without further work.
Care and maintenance

Let a new tank stand filled with plain water for 24–48 hours before stocking it, to check the silicone seal and let any new-silicone smell dissipate. Clean glass with an aquarium-safe scraper or cloth — avoid household glass cleaners, which can leave residue that's toxic to fish.

Safety

Set every tank on a stand or surface rated for its filled weight, dead level, on a base that supports the full glass footprint — an unsupported edge or a soft base like carpet can crack the base panel once it's filled. Water weighs 1 kg per litre, so even the 60cm tank is carrying roughly 34 kg of water alone before you add substrate, rock or equipment; the 120cm tank is closer to 100 kg. Two people are recommended when lifting the 90cm and 120cm tanks into position.

Goes well with

None of the three tanks includes a filter, heater, light, lid or stand, so budget for all four before stocking: an internal or canister filter sized to each tank's volume, a heater sized to the litres and your room's ambient temperature, a hood or light rated for the tank's footprint, and a stand rated for the filled weight.

Warranty and delivery

Covered by your consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law against manufacturing faults such as a failed seal or cracked glass on arrival — inspect all three tanks and the silicone seams before filling. Glass aquariums are fragile freight; expect careful-handling delivery and check packaging thoroughly before signing for the delivery.

Common questions

Does this set come with a filter, light or heater?

No. All three tanks — the 60cm, 90cm and 120cm — are bare glass only. You'll need to buy filtration, heating, lighting and a stand separately for each one.

What's the actual water capacity of each tank?

Bioscape doesn't publish a rated litre figure for this set. Based on the external dimensions and glass thickness, the brim-full internal volume works out to roughly 34 L for the 60cm, 63 L for the 90cm and 100 L for the 120cm — actual usable volume will be a little less once substrate and equipment go in.

Can I run a sump with these?

Not without modification — none of the three tanks is pre-drilled, so a sump setup would need an overflow box or professional drilling first.

Do I need a stand rated for a specific weight?

Yes. Filled with water alone the 120cm tank is around 100 kg, before substrate, rock or equipment, so it needs a stand or cabinet rated for that load, sitting dead level on a surface that supports the full base.
