Bioscape Cloud Terrarium Tall Large+Cover 30 x 30 x 45cm
A tall glass enclosure built for height, not width. The Bioscape Cloud Terrarium Tall Large is a 30 x 30 x 45 cm ultra-clear glass tank on a raised base, holding approximately 40.5 litres and supplied with a glass cover — sized for layered paludarium builds, moss walls and planted aquascapes that need vertical room to grow into.
Key features
- 40.5 L in a tall footprint — 30 x 30 cm base rising to 45 cm, giving height for layered hardscape and climbing plants rather than floor space.
- 5 mm ultra-clear glass — low-iron glass keeps the view free of the green tint standard float glass shows on a tall panel.
- Raised base — lifts the tank slightly for a distinct display look and a defined waterline reference when part-filling for a paludarium.
- Glass cover included — helps hold humidity for terrestrial and paludarium planting; it isn't sealed, so it won't hold a fully saturated tropical setup airtight.

Bioscape doesn't publish internal dimensions or empty/filled weight for this model. The external footprint above is the figure to check against your stand or shelf; internal usable space will be a little under it once the glass thickness is allowed for.
What's included / what you'll still need
- Included: the glass tank and a glass cover.
- Not included: light, filter, heater, substrate, hardscape, plants and stand.
This is a base enclosure, not a complete kit. Despite the finished look of the raised base, treat it as glass only and budget for lighting separately, plus filtration and heating if you're running it as a wet aquascape.
Which Cloud Terrarium Tall do I need?
The Tall range comes in two sizes. This is the larger of the two — pick it over the Tall Small where you want real height for a layered paludarium or a moss wall rather than a compact desktop piece.
| Model | External dimensions | Capacity | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloud Terrarium Tall Small | 20 x 20 x 35 cm | Approx. 14 L | Desktop and nano builds |
| Cloud Terrarium Tall Large | 30 x 30 x 45 cm | Approx. 40.5 L | Larger paludariums and moss walls needing height |
Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for: planted aquascapes, paludarium builds, moss walls and terrestrial vivarium setups.
- Not suitable for: anyone wanting a ready-to-run kit — you'll need to add lighting, and filtration and heating if you're running it as a wet aquarium.
Safety
Glass tank — support it on a flat, level, load-rated surface. Water alone in a 40.5 L tank adds roughly 40 kg once full; the glass, substrate and any hardscape add further weight on top of that, so check your stand or shelf is rated accordingly before filling.
Care and maintenance
Wipe the glass cover regularly if you're running a humid paludarium setup, since condensation can encourage an algae film on the underside over time.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by your consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law regardless of any additional manufacturer terms. As a glass item it ships boxed; check at checkout for any oversize handling on this size.
Common questions
Does this come with a light, filter or heater?
No. It's supplied as the glass tank and a glass cover only — light, filter, heater, substrate and stand are all separate.
How many litres does it hold?
Approximately 40.5 litres, based on the 30 x 30 x 45 cm external dimensions.
Can I use it dry, as a terrestrial vivarium?
Yes — the raised base and glass cover suit a terrestrial or paludarium setup as well as a fully wet aquascape.
What's the difference between this and the Tall Small?
Capacity and height. The Tall Small holds about 14 L in a 20 x 20 x 35 cm footprint; this Tall Large holds about 40.5 L in a 30 x 30 x 45 cm footprint, giving more room for a layered build.
