Common questions
Is it safe to leave in the tank outside of Halloween?
Yes – it's a permanent resin ornament, not a seasonal decoration that needs removing. Plenty of aquarists keep it in year-round for the gnarled-tree look alone.
Is it safe for shrimp and snails?
Yes. It's non-toxic resin, and the carved hollows give shrimp and snails somewhere to shelter.
Will the colour fade under strong lighting?
Bioscape doesn't publish a fade-resistance rating for this piece – as with most painted aquarium décor, sustained strong lighting can gradually soften colour over time.
Does it need rinsing before use?
Rinse it under tap water before adding it to the tank to clear any dust from packaging and transit.
