Compatibility, spares and supersession
This adapter fits the Bioscape Tropic (and co-branded Aqua Pro) Canister Filter 800 and 1200 only. It is not the part used on the larger 1600 or 2200 canister models in the same range, which use a different hose fitting — check your model number before ordering.

Suitable as a like-for-like replacement for a cracked, loose or missing red hose clip on the 800 or 1200 canister filter. Not a fit for other canister sizes or other brands' filters.
Care and maintenance
Check the clip's grip on the hose each time you service the filter — a loose or cracked clip is the usual cause of a slow leak at the hose connection, and is cheaper to replace than to keep re-seating.
