Suitable as a basking or background heat source for reptiles, including in bioactive enclosures (set-ups with live plants and clean-up crew insects). Choose the wattage to suit the enclosure size and your species' basking temperature. It gives no UVB (the ultraviolet light reptiles use to make vitamin D3), so pair it with a UVB lamp where needed.

Do not let reptiles or amphibians touch the heater. Use it in a ceramic E27 lamp holder rated for the wattage, mount it outside the mesh or behind a guard, and always run it through a thermostat. Plug into an RCD (safety switch) protected outlet.
