Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for checking the temperature in reptile and amphibian terrariums. Mount it horizontally for an accurate reading. For one thermometer, place it in the middle; to check the temperature gradient (the change from the warm end to the cool end), use two, one at each end. Keep it away from direct light and heat from incandescent bulbs, which will throw the reading out. A strip shows a general temperature, so use a digital or infrared thermometer to check a basking surface.
Care
Before fitting, make sure the surface is clean and dry, then peel off the backing and press the strip on firmly.
