These pads are shaped to the media basket used in the Fluval 306, 406, 307 and 407 canister filters - the same basket size across both the 06 and 07 large-body series. They are not the correct size for the smaller 106/206/107/207 filters or the FX range.

Fluval doesn't publish a fixed swap-out interval for these pads, since how fast the media saturates depends on your ammonia load rather than a fixed volume of water. Keep an eye on your ammonia test kit and replace a pad once readings start climbing again, or rotate one in as part of your regular filter service.

Will one pack cover a full year of servicing?

That depends on your tank's bioload and how often you service the filter, but six pads generally cover several months of a typical cleaning schedule.
