Fluval Flex Aquarium
An all-in-one curved-front aquarium with the filter and lighting built into the cabinet, not bolted onto the outside. The Fluval Flex hides its 3-stage filtration in a rear chamber and drives its LED lighting from an included remote, so the tank itself stays uncluttered. It's sold in three sizes for Australian homes — 34 litre, 57 litre and 123 litre — each dual-voltage rated for our 230–240 V / 50 Hz supply.

The 123 L is a meaningfully different tank from the two smaller sizes, not just a bigger version of the same kit — it runs two separate filter chambers instead of one, and swaps the physical remote for app control with programmable lighting schedules.
Will it fit my space?
Check the external footprint against your stand or shelf before ordering: 35 × 33 cm for the 34 L, 41 × 39 cm for the 57 L, and a longer, lower 82 × 40 cm footprint for the 123 L. A filled 123 L Fluval Flex can weigh in excess of 135 kg once decorated and stocked — stand it on furniture rated to carry that load, or directly on a solid floor.

Not included
No heater is included on any size — budget for one separately, sized to your litres and room temperature. Substrate, décor and any cabinet or stand are also sold separately.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable as a complete freshwater set-up for a community tank, planted tank or single-species set-up sized to the litres you choose. Fluval markets the Flex as a freshwater all-in-one kit; if you're planning a marine or reef set-up, check with our team before buying — we can't confirm it's rated for reef use.
Safety
Mains-powered — runs on Australia's 230–240 V / 50 Hz supply via the included transformer. Keep the transformer above water level and use an RCD-protected outlet, as with any aquarium electrical equipment. No heater is included, so if you add one, choose a thermostatically controlled unit sized to the tank.
Care and maintenance
Rinse the foam block and replace the carbon insert as part of your regular filter maintenance; BIOMAX biological media doesn't need routine replacement. Wipe the curved front panel with an aquarium-safe glass cleaner rather than an ammonia-based household product.

Warranty and delivery
Fluval covers the 34 L and 57 L Flex for 2 years, extendable to 3 years with product registration; the 123 L carries Fluval's standard 2-year warranty against defective parts and workmanship. These are in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. The 123 L is a bulky item — check delivery options at checkout for your postcode.
Common questions
Does the Fluval Flex come with a heater?
No. All three sizes ship without a heater — you'll need to add one sized to your litres and the gap between your room and target tank temperature.
What's actually different about the 123 L besides size?
It runs two independent filter chambers instead of one, and swaps the 34 L/57 L's handheld remote for Bluetooth control through the FluvalSmart app, including a 24-hour programmable lighting schedule.
Can I run this as a marine or reef tank?
Fluval markets the Flex range as a freshwater all-in-one kit. If you're planning a marine or nano-reef set-up, talk to our team first — we can't confirm official reef suitability for this range.
How heavy is a filled 123 L Fluval Flex?
Fluval's own manual warns it can weigh in excess of 135 kg once decorated and filled. Make sure your stand or floor is rated to carry that before you commit to this size.
Is the filter media included, or do I need to buy it separately?
