Genuine mechanical foam block, sized and shaped exactly for the Fluval 106 and 107 canister filter. Two-piece Bio-Foam block (Fluval part A220) that slots into the mechanical stage of the filter to trap free-floating debris before it reaches the biological media, keeping the filter's flow and clarity where they should be.

- Suitable for routine mechanical media replacement on a 106 or 107 canister filter.
- Not suitable for any 04, 05, 20x/30x or 40x-series Fluval canister – those take a different foam size.
Care and maintenance
Rinse the existing foam in removed tank water at each service rather than tap water, to protect the bacteria living on it, and replace it once it's torn, badly compacted, or won't rinse clean.

Common questions
Can I run the filter with just one foam piece while I wait for the second to arrive?
Yes, short term – flow and mechanical filtration will be reduced but the filter will still run.
Does this foam fit the Fluval 104 or 105?
No. The 104/105 use a smaller foam block from a different generation – check your model number before ordering.
How is this different from Bio-Foam Max?
Bio-Foam Max uses a rippled profile for extra surface area; this is the standard flat block matched to the filter's original media configuration.
