This connector and clip set is the genuine Fluval fitting for the FX4, FX5 and FX6 high-performance canister filters — it is not a universal or third-party part. The rim fitting has not changed across these three models, so this is the correct replacement regardless of when your filter was purchased. The model name is printed on the motor head if you need to check it.

Not suitable for other Fluval canister ranges. The older FX2's rim fitting is a different design and this part is not confirmed to fit it — check with us before ordering if you have an FX2.
Care and maintenance
Plastic clips fatigue with age and UV exposure. Check them at every filter service and replace at the first sign of cracking or a loose fit, rather than waiting for a hose to work free.
