It's frozen as whole shrimp, so the shape and movement cues that trigger feeding are still there once it's thawed.

Thawing and storage
Keep the pack frozen until you're ready to feed. Break off the portion you need from the flat pack, thaw it in a little tank or aquarium water, then feed straight away. Don't refreeze a thawed portion.
Feeding rate and frequency
Feed two to five times a day, in an amount your fish clear within about five minutes. Siphon out anything left over.
