Ocean Nutrition White Shrimp

Whole frozen shrimp for fish and invertebrates that want a meaty, single-ingredient feed. Ocean Nutrition White Shrimp is exactly what it says on the pack – 2–3 cm marine shrimp, rinsed and snap-frozen with nothing else added – sold as a 100 g blister of individual cubes for tropical, marine and cichlid tanks.

Key features
  • Single ingredient – whole white shrimp, no fillers, binders or additives.
  • 2–3 cm shrimp size – a substantial, meaty bite for medium and larger fish.
  • Individually portioned cubes – approximately 35 cubes per 100 g pack, so you feed a measured amount rather than breaking off an unknown chunk.
  • Suits both marine and freshwater tanks – a genuine cross-over protein source for mixed collections.

Thawing and feeding

Ocean Nutrition's frozen range is rinsed before it's flash-frozen, so a cube can go straight into the tank and will defrost in the water. If you'd rather thaw it first, drop it into a small container of tank water until soft, then feed.

Feed 2 to 5 times a day, offering only what your fish will finish within 5 minutes. Once thawed, feed it – don't refreeze it.

Storage

Keep frozen until use. Treat it as perishable once thawed – a portion left out and not eaten shouldn't go back in the freezer.

Warranty and delivery

Sold with the consumer guarantees that apply under Australian Consumer Law.

Frozen food is pick up only from our North Lakes store, because a pack that thaws on the way cannot be refrozen.

Common questions

Is White Shrimp suitable for a marine tank?

Yes – the manufacturer lists it as suitable for both marine and freshwater fish.

How big is each shrimp?

Around 2–3 cm – a solid, meaty piece rather than a small snack, so it suits medium to larger fish best.

Does it need thawing before feeding?

Not strictly – the cubes are rinsed before freezing and will thaw in the tank water. Thawing a portion first in a small cup of tank water works just as well.

Can I feed this to my discus?

Yes, discus are listed among the suitable species for this food.
