Upgrading a G5 Radion to G6 optics doesn't require buying a whole new fixture. This kit replaces the LED cluster and lens on a compatible G5 Radion with EcoTech Marine's G6 Hybrid Hemispherically Edge Illuminating (HEI2) optics – the same lens and LED technology fitted to the current G6 range – without changing the driver, heat sink or power supply underneath.

Why you'd upgrade

EcoTech built the G6 Radion on the same heat sink and driver platform as the equivalent G5 fixture, which is what makes this kit possible. Rather than replacing a working G5 outright, this swaps in the newer LED cluster and lens on the existing body. It also lets you switch a fixture between Pro and Blue spectrum at the same time, if that's the change you're after.

What's included / what you'll still need

Included: one G6 LED cluster (matched to the variant ordered), one G6 lens, ten lens screws, three Torx bits (T10, T15, T20) and installation instructions.

You'll still need: a compatible G5 Radion fixture already in place – this kit does not include a driver, power supply, mounting arm or the Radion body itself. It is a component upgrade, not a complete fixture.

You can upgrade a Blue fixture to Pro spectrum or a Pro fixture to Blue using this kit – the LED cluster and lens determine the spectrum, not the original fixture's build.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for a working G5 Radion owner wanting current G6 optics, or wanting to switch Pro/Blue spectrum, without buying a new fixture. Not suitable for G1–G4 Radions, which don't share the G5/G6 driver and heat sink platform this kit relies on.

Care and maintenance

Fitting involves removing the existing lens and LED cluster with the supplied Torx bits and replacing them with the new parts – no soldering or driver programming is required.

Common questions

Do I need to reprogram the fixture after fitting this?

EcoTech's own instructions don't describe a required reprogramming step for the swap itself; if your spectrum changes from Blue to Pro or back, you may want to revisit your lighting schedule in the app to suit the new spectrum.
