Red Sea Reefer Peninsula G2+ 500 DELUXE (125x63.5x60cm) - White
A Red Sea REEFER Peninsula G2+ 500 reef system, Deluxe version with lighting included, in a white cabinet. A peninsula aquarium is open to view from three sides, so it can stand out into a room as a divider rather than against a wall. Like the rest of Red Sea's REEFER range, it is reef-ready: the display drains through an overflow to a sump (a second tank in the cabinet that holds the filtration and equipment out of sight), and a return pump sends the water back up.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for an experienced reef keeper who wants a centrepiece tank that can be seen from three sides. Leave clear space on the open sides for viewing and maintenance. Not a first aquarium: a system this size needs a cycled tank (one where beneficial bacteria have built up to process waste), mixed saltwater, and equipment such as a return pump, skimmer, heater and circulation pumps planned before it is filled. Safety
Filled, this system weighs several hundred kilograms, because each litre of water weighs about 1 kg. Place it on a level, solid floor, and have the floor checked by a builder if it is not a concrete slab. Run all equipment from an RCD (safety switch) protected outlet and leave a drip loop (a low loop in each cable so water runs off before it reaches the plug).
