This is a bare reef-ready platform, not a Deluxe or MAX package: no lighting is fitted, and no return pump or skimmer is fitted. If you want lighting included, the current REEFER Peninsula S-700 G3 Deluxe is the equivalent-size current-generation alternative; if you want lighting, flow and skimming all fitted, look at a REEFER MAX package instead.

Allow the full 165 cm system height plus ceiling clearance, and clear access on at least one open end given the three-sided viewing format. Red Sea does not publish an empty or filled weight for this model. As a guide, the 705 L of water alone weighs roughly 705 kg before the glass, cabinet, rock and substrate are added — the true filled weight is meaningfully higher again. At this volume, get the floor checked by a builder or engineer before it goes in, particularly on an upper floor.

This is Red Sea's previous-generation (G2+) Reefer Peninsula S-700 platform. Red Sea's current Peninsula lineup is generation G3, sold in this store as the REEFER Peninsula G3 Deluxe range. The glass tank and sump geometry are unchanged between G2+ and G3 at this size — 568 L display, 705 L total — so the difference is primarily in the electronics and equipment Red Sea now bundles at the Deluxe and MAX tiers, not the aquarium itself.

Suited to a reefer who already owns or has chosen their lighting, return pump and skimmer and wants the tank, cabinet, sump and ATO handled without paying for equipment they'd swap out anyway. Not suitable as an all-in-one starting point — you will need to source and fit lighting, a return pump and a skimmer before this system can run a reef, and it is previous-generation stock rather than Red Sea's current model.

The sump's micron filter bags need regular changing and the media cups regular servicing — there's no automatic filter roller fitted. The ReefATO+ reservoir needs periodic topping up and its sensor kept clear.

The ReefATO+ unit is mains-powered — run it through an RCD-protected circuit and keep a drip loop on its cable. Once you add a return pump, skimmer or lighting, apply the same RCD and drip-loop practice to each.

Covered by Red Sea's manufacturer warranty, which applies in addition to your consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law.
