Red Sea ReefLED 90 / G2 115 Fan

Keep the LED array running cool with a genuine replacement fan. This is Red Sea's factory-fit cooling fan for the ReefLED 90 and G2 115, the component that pulls heat away from the LED chips and driver electronics during long photoperiods. A fan that has started rattling, grinding or has stopped altogether should be replaced before the light begins thermal-throttling – dimming itself to protect the LEDs – or fails outright.

Key features
  • Genuine Red Sea part – factory specification, not a generic aftermarket substitute.
  • Direct-fit replacement – same mounting points and connector as the original fan.
  • Restores active cooling – protects the LED array and driver board from heat-related failure.
  • Quiet running – replaces a fan that has started rattling, grinding or stalling.

Will it fit my light?

This fan is specific to the ReefLED 90 and its second-generation equivalent, the G2 115. It is not the part for a ReefLED 50, G2 60, 160S or G2 170 – those run their own dedicated fans on a different mount. Check the model printed on your fixture before ordering.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for a ReefLED 90 or G2 115 that has developed fan noise, a stalled fan, or is thermal-throttling under normal operating temperature. Not suitable for any other ReefLED model, and not a fix for a light that has failed for a reason other than the fan – test with a known-good power supply first if the unit won't power on at all.

Care and maintenance

Aquarium lighting fans sit in a humid, salt-laden environment and wear faster than an equivalent fan indoors. Expect the fan to be the first cooling-related part to need replacement over the life of the fixture, well ahead of the LED array itself.

Warranty and delivery

Covered by Red Sea's manufacturer warranty on spare parts, in addition to your consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships as a small parcel, standard delivery.

Common questions

Does this fan fit the original ReefLED 90 and the newer G2 115?

Yes – Red Sea uses the same fan, R35152, across both the first-generation ReefLED 90 and the second-generation G2 115.

How do I know if the fan has failed rather than the power supply?

A failed fan usually still powers the light – you'll hear grinding, rattling or a stalled fan, and the fixture may run hotter than usual or dim itself. A dead light with no fan noise at all points to the power supply first.

Is this a genuine Red Sea part or an aftermarket copy?

Genuine – it's the same part number and specification Red Sea fits at the factory.
