One hub, up to seven probes, and the readings you can trust while you're at work. The Red Sea ReefControl Pro is the flagship monitoring and automation controller in Red Sea's ReefBeat ecosystem. It ships ready to read pH and temperature straight out of the box, with three more built-in ReefSense ports free for salinity, ORP or a second temperature probe as you add them – and an optional expander to take the total to seven. Everything you need to check or adjust is one tap away in the ReefBeat app, from anywhere with internet access.
What's included / what you'll still need
The box contains the ReefControl Pro controller, one ReefSense pH & Temperature combined probe, a 4-port ReefSense connector cable (3 m), and a single probe holder. It does not include Salinity, ORP or Leak Detector probes – these are genuine ReefSense accessories, each sold separately, and you'll need the separate ReefSense 4-Port Expander if you want to run more than four probes at once. ReefControl Pro also does not switch mains-powered equipment on its own: it has two 12 V DC ports for small accessories such as cooling fans or DC dosing pumps, but pumps, heaters, lights and skimmers need the separate ReefControl Power unit to be switched through the app.

Which ReefControl do I need?
ReefControl Pro is the full monitoring hub with expandable ports and the accuracy figures above. If you only need to switch outlets on and off – no probes – the separate ReefControl Power range does that job without the controller. If you want a fuller probe set from day one rather than adding them over time, the ReefControl Pro Deluxe Kit bundles the Pro with additional ReefSense probes.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and marine aquarists who want centralised, app-based monitoring and are happy to add probes as their setup grows. Not a complete automation solution by itself – mains-powered equipment still needs a ReefControl Power unit to be switched through the app, and probes beyond pH/temperature are bought separately.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Red Sea's manufacturer warranty, in addition to your consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law. Red Sea's published warranty term for ReefControl Pro is 24 months from the date of original purchase. Ships as a standard parcel item.
Common questions
Can it turn my heater or return pump on and off?
Not by itself. ReefControl Pro reads probes and runs the ReefBeat app; switching mains-powered equipment needs a separate ReefControl Power unit connected to it.
Do I need to buy probes separately?
Only the pH & Temperature probe is included. Salinity, ORP and the Leak Detector are each sold separately as genuine ReefSense accessories.
How many probes can I run at once?
Four, straight out of the box. Add the ReefSense 4-Port Expander (sold separately) to run up to seven.
Is it suitable for freshwater tanks?
The hub and app work with any tank; which probes make sense depends on what you're monitoring – pH and temperature suit both fresh and marine setups, while salinity is a saltwater-specific parameter.
