Seachem Clarity Bonus Rhino +30% BONUS 325 mL

Thirty percent more clarifier in the promotional Rhino bottle.

This is Seachem Clarity in a 325 mL bonus bottle – the usual 250 mL fill plus 30% extra. At the label rate of 5 mL per 80 L that is 65 capfuls, enough to dose up to 5,200 L of aquarium water in total. The formula is identical to every other Clarity bottle: reef safe, plant safe, and effective on cloudiness in freshwater, marine and reef systems.

Key features
  • 65 capfuls instead of 50 – fifteen extra doses over the standard 250 mL bottle, at the same fill price point.
  • Same formula, bigger fill – nothing about the chemistry changes; only the volume in the bottle does.
  • Handles every clouding type – precipitating and flocculating agents in one bottle, so bacterial blooms, algal blooms and plain particulate haze all respond.
  • Reef and plant safe as directed – it does not strip soluble nutrients or trace minerals from the water.
  • Clears in 1–2 hours – with a repeat dose available after 24 hours if the haze persists.
  • Promotional stock – the Rhino bonus fill is a run, not a permanent size, so it is here while it lasts.
  • Under 1c per litre – at the label rate, the 325 mL bonus bottle treats water for under 1c per litre, cheaper per litre than the standard 250 mL fill at the same price.
What the bonus size actually gets you
Bottle Fill Capfuls of 5 mL Total water dosed Cost per litre
100 mL 100 mL 20 1,600 L 1c per litre
250 mL standard 250 mL 50 4,000 L Under 1c per litre
325 mL Rhino bonus 250 mL plus 30% extra 65 5,200 L Under 1c per litre
500 mL 500 mL 100 8,000 L Under 1c per litre

On a 200 L tank, one dose is 12.5 mL. The bonus bottle therefore carries 26 full-tank doses where the standard 250 mL carries 20.

What kind of cloudy water is it, and will Clarity help?

Cloudiness has several unrelated causes, and Seachem Clarity is the right answer to some of them and the wrong answer to others. The honest version:

Cause What it looks like Does Clarity help
New-tank bacterial bloom Milky white haze, usually days 3–14 Yes – it clumps the bacteria for the filter. The bloom still ends when the biofilter matures, not when you dose.
Disturbed substrate or new sand Fine grey or brown dust through the water column Yes – this is the fastest case, typically clear in an hour or two.
Algal bloom, or green water Even green tint you cannot see through Yes, as a reset – but the light and nutrient cause has to be dealt with or it returns.
Debris after a rescape Floating fragments and grit Yes, provided the mechanical media is fresh enough to hold the load.
Dissolved organics Tea-coloured or yellow, but clear rather than hazy No – nothing is suspended to clump. Use Purigen or MatrixCarbon.
Dosage and directions

Dose Seachem Clarity at 1 capful (5 mL) per 80 L, near the filter intake. Repeat every 24 hours if required. Mechanical filtration must be running – fine filter floss is what actually catches the clumps, and a coarse sponge will let most of them through.

Expect the tank to look cloudier for a short period straight after dosing. That is the flocculant binding particles together, and clearing follows within one to two hours.

Check the floss once the water clears. A heavy clearing job can load it enough to need rinsing or replacing more than once.

In very soft, lightly buffered water, Seachem advises a quarter to a half dose first, with an eye on pH, before going to the full rate.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for

  • Anyone who already knows Clarity works for them and wants more of it per bottle
  • Multi-tank racks and fishrooms, where one clouding event can mean several tanks
  • Aquascapers who disturb substrate often
  • New setups, where the fortnight-long bacterial bloom can take repeat doses

Not suitable for

  • Tanks with no mechanical media in the flow path
  • Yellowing from dissolved organics, which needs chemical filtration instead
  • Anyone wanting a single small bottle for a one-off event – the 100 mL standard size is the sensible buy there
Safety and handling
  • Keep out of reach of children and away from food.
  • Do not exceed the stated dose. Extra flocculant does not clear water faster; it just loads the filter harder.
  • Watch flow through the filter after a heavy dose, since loaded floss can restrict it.
  • Store sealed, cool, and out of direct sunlight.
  • Seachem publishes a Safety Data Sheet for this product at sds.seachem.com.

Warranty, delivery and Australian notes

This is a consumable water treatment, so no manufacturer equipment warranty applies. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply in addition to anything the manufacturer states, including the guarantees that goods are of acceptable quality and fit for the purpose described.

The 325 mL bottle is well under one litre and ships as an ordinary parcel. Bonus fills are promotional production runs, so the size is available only while that stock lasts.

Common questions

Is the bonus bottle the same product as standard Clarity?

Yes. The formula is identical. The only difference is the fill – 325 mL instead of 250 mL, which is the standard bottle plus 30% extra.

How many doses does the 325 mL bottle give?

Sixty-five capfuls of 5 mL. At the label rate of 5 mL per 80 L that doses up to 5,200 L of aquarium water in total, or 26 full doses on a 200 L tank.

Does Clarity remove fertiliser or trace elements?

No. Seachem states that Clarity removes suspended particulates only and does not strip soluble nutrients or trace minerals, so planted-tank fertiliser and reef supplement routines carry on unchanged.

Will Clarity clog the filter?

It loads mechanical media faster than normal, because that media is now catching everything the clarifier has clumped together. Plan on rinsing or replacing filter floss once or twice while the tank clears.

How long does an opened bottle keep?

Seachem does not publish a fixed shelf life after opening for this product. Keep it sealed, cool and out of direct sunlight, and buy a size you will realistically use.
