Zoo Med lists it for small geckos, hatchling reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates such as tarantulas, in tropical or desert set-ups. It does not provide UVB, so pair it with a UVB lamp for species that need one. Not suitable as a night heat source, because it gives off bright light.

Use it in a fixture with a ceramic socket, and do not exceed the fixture's wattage rating. Unplug before changing the lamp. Control it with a thermostat, and set it over one end of the enclosure so your animal can move away to a cooler area.
