Java Reef Rock is manufactured dry rock rather than rock taken from a living reef. It is hand made from natural, reef safe materials, and because it has never been alive there is no die off to cure out before you stock the tank. The maker describes it as pH neutral, free of parasites and not leaching phosphate or nitrate, and its pores give beneficial bacteria plenty of surface to settle on. We sell it by the kilogram in four forms: Base Rock for the footprint, Branching Rock for open structure, Reef Arches for ready made overhangs and caves, and Reef Plates for ledges and shelves.
Plan a structure water can move through, with a gap behind for the algae magnet. Rock is heavy to post, so ask us about picking up larger orders from North Lakes.
