Neo Helios lights are slim LED fixtures built for nano planted tanks, and both Flat Nano S3 models here are 13 watt units. The Plus and the Pro+ Natural differ in their LED mix and colour, so ask us which suits your plants and tank. Either way the light is a flat panel on a flexible arm that clamps onto glass up to 15 millimetres thick.
On a small tank, light is the easiest thing to overdo. Start at six to eight hours a day, and lengthen it only once plants are growing faster than algae. Fertiliser and carbon dioxide (CO2, which plants use to grow) are in Plant Care.
