Bioscape Nano Replace Zeo/Carbon Cartridges 3 Pack
The chemical filter cartridge for the Bioscape Nano Aquarium range, in a three-pack. Each cartridge combines zeolite and activated carbon in one insert — zeolite binds ammonia, carbon pulls out odour, tannins and yellowing — and drops straight into the chemical filtration stage of the Bioscape Nano Aquarium Unit's built-in 3-stage filter.

It doesn't fit Bioscape's hang-on, canister or PRO filter ranges — those take their own carbon and media cartridges.
Replacement interval
Bioscape doesn't publish a fixed change interval for this cartridge. As a chemical media it has a finite capacity: once it's exhausted it simply stops adsorbing, rather than going off or causing harm, so the practical sign to watch for is the water starting to smell or discolour again, or an ammonia reading on a new setup that isn't dropping the way it should. Rinse the separate wool pad in tank water at each water change, but treat this cartridge on its own change cycle — rinsing doesn't restore it.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and marine nano setups running a Bioscape Nano Aquarium Unit. Not a substitute for the mechanical wool pad or the bio-cylinders — this cartridge only covers the chemical stage, and all three stages need to be present for the filter to work as designed.

Which one do I need for my tank?
The same cartridge fits all three Nano Aquarium Unit sizes — 24 L, 40 L and 61 L — so it's one product regardless of which size you own.
How do I know when to change it?
Watch the water, not the calendar: once odour, tannin staining or ammonia control noticeably drops off, the cartridge has used up its capacity.
Can I rinse and reuse it?
No — rinsing doesn't restore adsorption capacity to zeolite or carbon. Only the separate wool pad is designed to be rinsed and reused.
Does this replace the wool pad or bio-cylinders too?
No — this pack covers the chemical filtration stage only. The wool pad (mechanical) and bio-cylinders (biological) are separate parts.
