Bioscape Ebony Black Fine 1-2mm

• Does not affect pH, so it will not change your water chemistry.
• Fine 1 to 2 mm grain that still lets water circulate and drain through it.
• Flexible use: on its own, for scaping highlights, under plant soil, beneath other decorative gravel or as a drainage layer in terrariums.
• Triple washed.

• Material: natural quartz sand, black
• Grain size: 1 to 2 mm
• Bag sizes: 3 kg and 7 kg

Suitable as a substrate for freshwater aquariums, under a plant soil in planted tanks, and as a base drainage layer in terrariums. It is plain sand rather than a plant soil, so for planted tanks Bioscape suggests using it under a plant soil. Because it does not affect pH, it will not buffer (hold up) pH the way aragonite reef sand does.

Give it a rinse in a bucket before adding it to the tank to clear any dust from handling.
