For a terrarium floor larger than the Medium size, combine multiple mesh pieces cut to fit rather than stretching one piece across the whole footprint.

The pack contains the mesh only. You'll also need Exo Terra Bio Drain Substrate underneath it and your chosen soil or substrate on top.

Suited to any planted, humid or bioactive terrarium build using the Bio Drain drainage system. Not a standalone substrate – it always sits between the drainage layer and the soil, not as a surface layer on its own.

Trim with scissors to match your terrarium's internal dimensions. Rinse before use to settle packaging dust.

Which size fits a standard medium terrarium?

The Medium (45 × 61 cm) is sized for Exo Terra's medium and medium-tall terrarium footprints. Check your enclosure's internal base dimensions before ordering.

Do I need the substrate as well?

Yes – the mesh is designed to sit on top of Exo Terra Bio Drain Substrate, not to replace it.

Can I join multiple pieces for a bigger terrarium?

Yes, overlap or butt multiple cut-to-fit pieces together to cover a larger floor than one piece allows.
