Exo Terra Monsoon Y-Connector

One Monsoon line, mist in two places. The Exo Terra Monsoon Y-Connector splits a single misting line in two, so one Monsoon unit can run nozzles into two zones of the same terrarium — or feed two separate enclosures — without a second pump and control unit. It's a genuine Exo Terra part built to the exact tubing diameter of the Monsoon range, so it pushes on and seals without extra clamps or sealant.

Key features
  • Splits one line into two — mist two zones of a large terrarium, or two separate enclosures, from a single Monsoon misting unit.
  • Push-fit connection — no tools, glue or clamps; presses onto standard Monsoon tubing.
  • Expandable — Exo Terra rates the Monsoon system for up to 6 nozzles in total when multiple Y-connectors are chained together.
  • Genuine Exo Terra part — sized to Monsoon tubing specifically, so it holds pressure without leaking at the joint.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for anyone running an Exo Terra Monsoon misting system who wants to mist two zones or two terrariums from one unit, or who's expanding an existing setup toward its 6-nozzle maximum. Not a replacement part for the Monsoon pump, timer or control head — it's a passive tubing splitter only, and it doesn't add pressure or capacity beyond what the Monsoon unit itself produces.

Care and maintenance

Run distilled or RO water through the system, as Exo Terra recommends for the whole Monsoon range — tap water leaves mineral scale that can block the narrow nozzle openings faster than it blocks the connector itself. Rinse the fitting if flow through either branch drops off.

Goes well with
  • Exo Terra Monsoon misting system
  • Additional Monsoon nozzles, for the second branch
  • Monsoon replacement tubing
Warranty and delivery

Covered by your rights under Australian Consumer Law as a packaged plastic accessory, in addition to any manufacturer terms. Ships standard.

Common questions

How many nozzles can one Monsoon unit run with this connector fitted?

Exo Terra rates the Monsoon system for up to 6 nozzles in total when multiple Y-connectors are chained together — one connector alone takes you from 1 nozzle to 2.

Will this fit a misting system from another brand?

It's sized to Exo Terra Monsoon tubing specifically. Fit with another brand's misting line isn't confirmed by the manufacturer.

Does splitting the line reduce mist pressure at each nozzle?

Exo Terra doesn't publish a pressure figure for this. As a general rule with any splitter, running more nozzles off one pump spreads the same output across more outlets, so check spray strength at both branches once it's fitted.
