HMS Hanging Kit
Suspends the Aqua Illumination HMS rail from the ceiling or a wall bracket instead of clamping it to the tank rim. Useful on rimless tanks, cabinets with a sump lid across the top, or any setup where clipping feet onto the glass edge isn't an option.
Key features
- Ceiling or wall mounting – an alternative to the rim-mounted feet supplied with the Multi Light Mount Kit.
- Keeps the tank top clear – no feet or clamps sitting on the rim, which matters on rimless tanks or where a lid needs to open flat.
- Fits any HMS rail length – attaches to the sides of the HMS Tank Mount Rail track.
- Mounting hardware included – the fixings needed to anchor the kit to a ceiling or wall bracket are supplied.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for ceilings or walls that can take a fixed anchor point above or beside the tank.
- Not suitable where drilling into the ceiling isn't possible – a wall-mounted bracket is the usual workaround, though a wall bracket itself is not included in this kit.

Do I need this if I'm mounting on the tank rim?
No. Rim mounting uses the feet supplied with the Multi Light Mount Kit. This kit is only for ceiling or wall suspension.
Does this include the rail or the light brackets?
No. The HMS Tank Mount Rail and the fixture brackets are sold separately.
How much drop does the cable give me?
Aqua Illumination's retail support lists roughly 2.7 m (9 ft) per side, which covers most standard home ceiling heights above a stand-mounted tank. Check this against your own ceiling if it's unusually high.
