Mag-Float Replacement scraper (large/large+)

A worn scraper edge is the easiest way to scratch your own glass. This is the genuine replacement scraper blade for the Mag-Float Large and Large+ magnetic glass cleaners, restoring a clean cutting edge once the original has worn smooth or picked up a nick.

Key features
  • Genuine Mag-Float part – sized to click into the existing Large/Large+ magnet housing.
  • Restores cutting performance – a fresh edge shifts algae film that a worn blade just pushes around.
  • Quick swap – no tools needed to fit it.
Specifications
Brand Mag Float
Type Replacement scraper blade
Fits Mag-Float Large and Large+ magnetic glass cleaners
Material contact surface Glass only
Suitable for, and not suitable for
  • Suitable for: Mag-Float Large and Large+ cleaners on glass aquariums.
  • Not suitable for: acrylic tanks – the scraper blade design will scratch acrylic regardless of which Mag-Float housing it's fitted to. Not a fit for the Small/Long size cleaner, which takes a different scraper – check the other listing for that one.
Care and maintenance

Rinse sand and grit from the blade and the glass before each pass. A worn blade that no longer scrapes cleanly should be replaced rather than pressed harder against the glass.

Warranty and delivery

Covered by the manufacturer's standard warranty against faulty parts, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships as a small parts item at standard parcel rates.

Common questions

Does this fit my Long or Small Mag-Float?

No – this blade is sized for the Large and Large+ cleaners only. The Small and Long sizes take a separate replacement scraper.

How do I know it's time to replace the scraper?

If the cleaner is sliding over algae rather than lifting it, or you can see the edge is rounded or nicked, it's due for a fresh blade.

Can I use this on an acrylic aquarium?

No. This is a scraper blade and will scratch acrylic – it's designed for glass tanks only.
