Red Sea Max Nano G2 XL 125L Reef Aquarium/Stand
The largest MAX Nano, with the stand built in as one order. This listing pairs the Red Sea MAX Nano G2 XL aquarium — the biggest tank in the MAX Nano range, with lighting, a stronger return pump, skimming and auto top-off already fitted into a built-in rear sump chamber — with its matching cabinet.
Key features
- The biggest MAX Nano — 125 L total system volume, ahead of both the Cube G2 (75 L) and the Peninsula G2 (100 L).
- Aquarium and cabinet together — the XL G2 tank and its purpose-built stand as a single order.
- Built-in rear sump chamber — filtration, skimmer, pump and auto top-off run out of sight behind the display.
- Stronger circulation — a 1,550 L/h Sicce return pump, well ahead of the 950 L/h pump fitted to the Cube and Peninsula.
- Marine-spec cabinet — weatherproof, epoxy-painted doors on soft-close stainless steel hinges.

Which MAX Nano do I need?
This is the XL G2 — the largest of the three MAX Nano G2 models, with 25 L more total system water than the Peninsula G2 and a return pump rated at more than 1.5 times the flow. If floor space or budget favour something smaller, the Cube G2 and Peninsula G2 both run the same rear-chamber design at 75 L and 100 L.

Performance
Red Sea rates the included ReefLED 50 at roughly 500 µmol beneath the lens at the water surface, falling to around 100 µmol at 50 cm depth. The 1,550 L/h Sicce return pump is rated before head loss through the rear chamber's own plumbing, so expect a lower figure at the outlet — it remains the strongest pump in the MAX Nano G2 range, useful for a heavier SPS bioload or a longer plumbing run inside the chamber.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for reefers who've outgrown a Cube or Peninsula-sized nano and want more display water and flow while keeping the plug-and-play rear-chamber format, with the tank and stand supplied together. Not suitable if a genuinely small footprint is the goal — the Cube G2 is the more compact option at the same equipment standard.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Red Sea's manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Mains-powered components are configured for 240 V / 50 Hz Australian supply. The cabinet ships flat-packed; the aquarium ships boxed separately within the same order.
Common questions
Does this include a heater?
No. Choose one rated for a system over 125 L, sized to how cold your room gets.
How much stronger is the pump than the Cube or Peninsula?
The XL G2 runs a 1,550 L/h Sicce pump, against 950 L/h on both the Cube G2 and Peninsula G2 — over 60% more rated flow.
Is the cabinet already assembled?
No, it ships flat-packed with the hardware included, in line with how Red Sea distributes the range.
Can I buy the tank and cabinet separately instead?
Yes — the XL G2 aquarium and its matching cabinet are both available individually if you'd rather order them apart or already own one of the two.
What's already plumbed into the aquarium?
The return pump, protein skimmer and auto top-off all sit in the rear sump chamber and arrive already plumbed and wired.
