This Red Sea 100-micron felt filter bag is the fine "polishing" sock for mature systems that are already running clear — it catches what a coarser bag lets straight through. Built to the standard 4"/10 cm ring, it drops straight into a REEFER or MAX-S sump without modification.

Will it fit my tank?
If your sump uses Red Sea's standard 4"/10 cm filter bag holder — fitted to REEFER and MAX-S sumps — this bag drops straight in. Check your holder against the 100 mm/260 mm measurement, since holder size hasn't been confirmed on every Red Sea line.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for: REEFER and MAX-S sumps at the polishing stage — water that's already clear and just needs the last haze pulled out.
- Not suitable for: new setups or heavy post-maintenance cloudiness, where the fine weave clogs fast — use a 225-micron felt or thin-mesh bag instead.
Care and maintenance
Rinse as soon as it's pulled, before debris dries into the felt, and machine-wash cold without fabric softener. Replace once it stays grey after washing or the weave frays.
