Red Sea REEFER G3 DELUXE Aquarium System 200

Same footprint length as the 170, with more depth and more water behind the glass. The Red Sea REEFER G3 Deluxe Aquarium System 200 is a 200 L rimless reef system – a 158 L display over a 42 L sump – with one ReefLED G2 115 and its mounting arm included, plus Red Sea's built-in ReefATO+ auto top-off. It sits on the same 59.9 cm footprint length as the entry-level 170, but 7.4 cm deeper front-to-back, for keepers who want more swimming room and stocking headroom without needing extra wall length.

Key features
  • 200 L total, on a 59.9 × 57.4 cm footprint – a 158 L rimless display over a 42 L sump.
  • 1 × ReefLED G2 115 fixture and mounting arm included – 115 W, roughly 500 PAR at the surface falling to around 150 PAR at 50 cm, tunable white spectrum, rated to 60 cm maximum water depth.
  • ReefATO+ built in – automatic top-off with a titanium water-level sensor, integrated thermometer and leak detection, standard on every G3 model.
  • Redesigned G3 sump – REEF-SPEC, ReefMat-ready, with a dedicated skimmer chamber and a bubble-trap labyrinth ahead of the pump draw.
  • Rimless, ultra-clear glass – beveled-edge front panel for a clean, frame-free view.
  • Pre-glued sump plumbing – the downpipe, return line and ReefGate flow valve arrive assembled; no gluing on setup.

Which REEFER G3 do I need?

All four current REEFER G3 sizes share the same sump architecture, ReefGate valve and ReefATO+ system – the differences are footprint, volume, and how many ReefLED G2 115 fixtures the Deluxe package includes.

Model Footprint (L × W) Display / overall height Display volume Total volume Sump volume ReefLED included (Deluxe)
REEFER G3 170 59.9 × 50.0 cm 51.1 cm / 136.9 cm 128 L 165 L 37 L 1 × ReefLED G2 115
REEFER G3 200 59.9 × 57.4 cm 53.1 cm / 140.0 cm 158 L 200 L 42 L 1 × ReefLED G2 115
REEFER G3 250 89.9 × 50.0 cm 53.1 cm / 140.0 cm 203 L 245 L 42 L 2 × ReefLED G2 115
REEFER G3 300 89.9 × 57.4 cm 55.1 cm / 142.0 cm 247 L 301 L 57 L 2 × ReefLED G2 115

Against the 170, the 200 trades nothing in floor length – both are 59.9 cm – for 7.4 cm more depth and 34 L more total volume, at a modest premium. Against the 250, the 200 is 30 cm shorter but holds a similar sump; the 250 is the pick once you have the wall length to spare and want meaningfully more display width rather than depth.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for: a keeper with a fixed floor footprint length who wants more depth and water volume than the entry-level 170, without stepping up to a longer tank.

Not suitable for: anyone expecting a plug-and-play kit – a return pump and, if wanted, a skimmer or ReefMat still need to be sourced separately.

Care and maintenance

Rinse or replace the sump's micron filter socks weekly, more often while cycling. Keep the ReefLED's fan intake free of salt dust. Wipe the ReefATO+ sensor periodically to prevent salt creep causing false top-off readings.

Safety

Run the ReefLED, ATO pump and any added equipment on 240 V AU-approved supplies with an RCD, with mains connections above the water line and a drip loop. At 315 kg filled with water alone, before rock and sand, confirm your stand or floor is rated for the load at this footprint.

Goes well with
Warranty and delivery

Red Sea covers the aquarium and cabinet for 36 months from purchase, extendable to 5 years total at no cost if you register within 90 days – Australia is an eligible market. The extension covers the structural integrity of the glass and cabinet only; the ReefLED and ReefATO+ carry their own 24-month manufacturer warranty. These terms sit in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which are not limited or excluded by them. As a large glass and cabinet item, this ships as a freight delivery – confirm access and unloading arrangements with us before ordering.

Common questions

How much more water does the 200 hold than the 170?

34 L more in total – 200 L against 165 L – from 7.4 cm of extra depth on the same 59.9 cm footprint length.

Does the REEFER G3 Deluxe 200 include a return pump?

No. Red Sea's own operation manual only recommends a pump for this sump size; the ReefRun G2 4000 or 6000 DC pumps are sold separately.

Is the auto top-off included?

Yes. ReefATO+ ships standard on every REEFER G3 model, including this one. You'll need your own top-up water reservoir for it to draw from.

What's not included that I'll need before adding livestock?

A return pump, a heater, and ideally a protein skimmer – none of these ship with any REEFER G3 package, Deluxe or standard.

Can this take two lights instead of one?

Yes – the 57.4 cm width comfortably supports a second ReefLED G2 115 on its own mounting arm for more even coverage, though the single included fixture is rated to cover the tank on its own.
