Suspend your ReefLED 90 from the ceiling instead of the tank rim. This is Red Sea's factory hanging kit for the first-generation ReefLED 90, giving a clean, rimless-look alternative to arm mounting. The light hangs on adjustable suspension wires, so you can raise or lower it to tune coverage and intensity without touching a mounting arm or the app.

Will it fit my light?
This kit fits the first-generation (G1) ReefLED 90 only. Red Sea's G2 range (ReefLED G2 60, G2 115 and G2 170) uses a separate hanging kit built for that generation's mounting adapter — the two are not interchangeable.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suited to a G1 ReefLED 90 owner moving from arm mounting to ceiling suspension, or fitting out a new rimless tank with no rim to clamp an arm onto. Not suitable for G2 lights, and not a fit for solid or low ceilings where a suspension point can't be securely anchored.
Care and maintenance
Check the suspension wires and ceiling fixings periodically, particularly after any bump or knock to the light, since a mains-powered fixture hanging above an open tank depends on that fixing staying secure.

Common questions
Can I use this with a G2 ReefLED?
No. The G2 range (60, 115, 170) takes a different hanging kit sized for its own mounting adapter.
Does raising the light reduce PAR at the substrate?
Yes — increasing the drop height spreads and softens intensity, the same relationship as any aquarium light moved further from the water.
Do I still need the mounting arm?
No. The hanging kit is an alternative to arm mounting, not an addition to it.
